Power Story III: Preserving Indigenous African Knowledges, Histories, and Cultural Memory

Power Story™ is our annual African-centred course designed to restore, affirm, and activate ancestral ways of knowing as pathways to personal growth, healing, and transformative leadership.

Power Story III: Preserving Indigenous African Knowledges, Histories, and Cultural Memory is the third instalment of this annual learning series. This year’s course explores the relevance and application of African intellectual traditions within contemporary contexts, with a focus on the preservation and continuity of Indigenous African knowledge systems, histories, and cultural memory.

Facilitated by a historian and an Indigenous African-centred educator, the course invites participants to deepen their engagement with African knowledge while examining how these traditions can inform practice, leadership, and decision-making. Through four live sessions, participants will explore approaches to preserving and sustaining African knowledge across generations, reflect on the role of cultural memory as a source of insight and identity, and strengthen their ability to apply these knowledges in meaningful ways.
